The Adelaide Tailoring Company was a popular business in Kalgoorlie around 1910 with branches on Perth, Fremantle, Melbourne and Sydney. It operated from about 1907 right through to the 1940’s.’

The shop is now occupied by ‘Sassy Sue’s so it is still in the clothing business! You will see that there is also a petrol pump in the corner of the photograph

Hi. I am looking to find out anything about Joseph Holmes Woodhead who was said to have worked at the Adelaide Tailoring Company, possibly in Kalgoorlie. His name came up when doing some family history. If it is the same Joseph as I have, he was born to Martha Holmes Woodhead around 1845. Martha married my great great grandfather Jonathon Roebuck. Any information would be great.
