The second fatality occurred about 3 o’clock in the afternoon, at Mrs Marlow’s dining room. The poor fellow, who had only just arrived in Malcolm, suddenly complained of feeling unwell, and went into the room in order to get out of the sun for a few minutes. He bad not been there long before he expired. He had received an appointment at the North Star mine, and was to have commenced work at 4 o’clock that afternoon.
