Whispers of the Outback – a verse

Whispers of the Outback

The red earth hums a song of old,
A tale of heat, of sun, and gold.
Where kangaroos in silence leap,
And ancient secrets softly creep.
The wind it carries, warm and dry,
A whisper from the endless sky.
Through gum trees tall and desert wide,
The Outback waits, the land, the pride.
A lizard darts, a shadow flits,
The dust it swirls, the sunlight splits.
By dusk, the stars begin to gleam,
A silver sea, a quiet dream.
The howl of the dingo splits the night,
As silence folds in pale moonlight.
The Outback breathes, a steady beat,
A wild heart where earth and sky meet.
And in this place, so wild, so free,
The spirit roams, and it’s meant to be.
For in the vastness, in the flame,
The Outback whispers, calls your name.
