Can You Help?? Mystery Hotel
These photographs belong in a series of shots that depict the damage in a cyclone on 10th Feb 1928 in Kalgoorlie Boulder. The first photograph (hotel on the corner) is the Terminus Hotel (later to become the Golden Eagle) in Boulder but the second hotel is a puzzle. I just cant place it and there is no identification on the back. Does anyone recognise it? It must be in Kalgoorlie or Boulder as the whole series look like they were all taken on the same day by someone travelling around to survey the damage. Most of the photographs are in Boulder so perhaps it was there but cant say for sure.

Hi Moya, I was told my grandmother Lillie (Fitzgerald) Liddell managed a Hotel in Kalgoorlie perhaps in 1930’s. I also heard it burnt down whilst she was managing it. Any knowledge of this?
Hi Moya, the “Mystery Hotel” is the Foundry Hotel.
