Alice Mary Fuhrmann was one of my maternal great-aunts. I have yet to do detailed research, but believe the other male twin somehow survived the tough start of his mother’s death at his birth and lived into adulthood. For the record, Alice’s parents’ surnames are McIldowney and Hannan.

I live not far from Hannan Street in Williamstown – does anyone know if the street was named after the parents of Alice Mary Furhman? jillaroo
