On the 26th March 1904 photographs were taken of all the staff and students of the Brown Hill School for the Western Argus newspaper. Unfortunately, no students are named but it is a great snapshot of all the pupils of that year. The Brown Hill School was the second largest in the Goldfields, the biggest being Boulder School. In addition to this school, there was a convent school as well.

Hello my later father, Richard Dudley Truman attended Brown Hill Primary from approx. 1914 – 1920. Woud there be any photographic records from this time?
Hi Judy was his father called Leslie, I see he is in the Brown Hill Post office Directory for 1921 as TRUMAN Leslie –Cavaliers Battery Croesus Lease. Im afraid I have never come across any school records for any of the Brown Hill Schools. I have a photo of the school from 1902 and I would think it would be little changed by 1914. You can see it on the Outback Family History page for Brownhill here – https://www.outbackfamilyhistory.com.au/records/town.php?town=Brown%20Hill
