St George's Church Boulder Anzac Service 1931

St George’s Church, Boulder Anzac Service 1931 – Image WA Museum

This photograph shows the St George’s Presbyterian Church in Moran Street, Boulder, ready for the Anzac Service on the 26th April 1931. In the far right, you will see displayed the Honour Board, which is today in the keeping of the Goldfields War Museum. It has the names of 114 servicemen and members of the church, 15 of whom made the ultimate sacrifice. You will see several names of members of the same family, and even the reverend served.  The church is today a private residence.

Hi Ray. I’m glad to scan photo’s into my computer, then email or sms or print and snail mail. We could swap details through this site if that is a good idea. I’m no good at computer stuff, just want it to go smoothly and securely. Christine Foster. (Married surname: BILL.) Yes, I know. Weird name. Do you have anything I might be interested in?. Thanks, Chrissy

    Hi Moya,
You have Millen Roy on the Roll Of Honour … McMillan was my gg grandma’s father (Alexander McMillan) so I’m thinking Millen Roy might belong to me, if he is related to Stanley Roy on the Roll Of Honour … Stanley’s father being Angus John Roy from the Boulder Pipe Band & Stephen Roy also in the Pipe Band 🙂 X
