ALDERSON Robert William and KELLY Isabel : Western Argus 1 November 1904

On the 28th September 1904 a wedding took place in the Presbyterian Church in Menzies between Robert William ALDERSON, son of the late Robert Alderson, Hampstead, England, to Isabel Kelly, third daughter of the late William Kelly of Mintaro, South Australia.

Some additional infoamtion has been sent in by OFH reader Denis Edwards:-

Robert Alderson enlisted at Kalgoorlie on the 4 Mar 1915 at Kalgoorlie and was in the 7th rein./11th batt service no 2338. He served in Gallipoli then France where he was Killed in action on the  25 July 1916 aged 45. He was born in Hampstead England. Isabel died about the 31 July 1917 at Kalgoorlie. No living relatives could be located for either and Robert’s War medals and memorial scroll was not claimed. A brother-in-law of Isabel a Mr Teesdale could not be found. I will look at Roberts Family in the uk. Isobels father William Kelly was from the Isle of Mann he died at Mintaro South Australia 19 June 1874.
