[Sir] George Doolette just popped up on BBC Antiques Roadshow, one of his male descendants in England appearing with 1/ a fancy gold nugget and 2/ a handsome bronze growling tiger which he'd souvenired on a holiday in Japan, seen on the show in a photo of he and his lady there, in Japanese dress! She in a small open carriage.
A well rounded worldly chap!
