					<description><![CDATA[Thank you Doug for this summary of the gold mining in and around Kalgoorlie. The adeline lead story, something you and I learnt about in our time at EGHS - the afternoon storm that flooded the road that collapsed just north of the school blocking miners coming home. 
The other Doug, if you had stayed at hockey training practicing short corner plays could have been a disaster when the ground collapsed right where Horsley and I had been hitting from. He maintains it was my fault for duffing to often.
An article next day in the Kalgoorlie Miner adds to this comment if I can post it.
